Artist’s comment: The rich cultural landscape of Latin America is synonymous with sociability, carnival, rhythm and movement. With the advent of social distancing, the future of these important cultural signifiers is unknown, perhaps threatening the fabric of the continent’s identity. This painting explores this unknown landscape and radical shift away from cultural norms.
